Pakistan’s squash star Nasir Iqbal has brought home the Tasmanian Open Squash Title in Australia, getting his third title on Australian soil this year. Iqbal won over Switzerland’s David Barnett with a score of 3-1, with individual game scores of 11-8, 12-10, 6-11, and 11-5.
Recently, Iqbal guaranteed triumphs at the Bendigo Worldwide and the Shepparton Open, and furthermore came to the semi-finals of the Victoria Open. In the semi-last match of the Tasmanian Open, he showed great structure by overcoming France’s Melvil Ciani-Menko 3-0.
This most recent success in Australia comes after areas of strength for him in the CNS Squash Title last held in Karachi recently. Iqbal’s reliable progress in these competitions features his momentous ability and commitment to the game of squash.
